Measure bracelet size
A bracelet can instantly have something special. The shape, the links, and the character of the piece make you want to wear it immediately. To truly enjoy it, it's important that the size fits correctly.
Because every piece of jewelry is unique, you want to make sure the bracelet fits comfortably on your wrist. Fortunately, you can easily measure your bracelet size at home. Using the methods below, you'll quickly discover which size fits you best.
Measure existing bracelet
- Take a piece of string, a pen and a ruler.
- Wrap the string around your wrist however you prefer to wear the bracelet.
- Put a small line where the string meets.
- Place the string along a ruler and measure the length up to the mark.
This length allows you to use the size chart to see which bracelet size fits you best.
The right bangle size
Found a bangle you like, but unsure about the size? By comparing the inner diameter of the bangle to the circumference of your hand, you can easily determine whether the jewelry slides comfortably over your hand and fits comfortably on your wrist.
Step 1: Measure the circumference of your hand
Using a measuring tape (or a piece of string and a ruler), measure the circumference of your hand at its widest point, usually over the knuckles, with your thumb against your hand. Measure relaxed and not too tightly.
Step 2: Check the inner diameter of the bangle
Our bangles often have their inner diameter printed on them. Do you already have a bangle that fits well? Then you can also measure its inner diameter, from inner edge to inner edge, straight through the center.
Step 3: Convert the diameter to a circumference
Use this simple formula to calculate the circumference of your bangle:
Circumference (cm) = diameter (cm) × 3.14
Step 4: Compare the sizes
Compare the calculated circumference to the circumference of your hand. If the bangle is slightly larger, it will usually fit comfortably.
Example
Does the bangle have an inner diameter of 60mm?
60 mm = 6 cm
6 × 3.14 = 18.8 cm
The bangle will then have a circumference of approximately 19 cm and will usually fit comfortably around the hand.
